Kowloon Peak
I am not normally one to get up at 3.30am to visit a mountain for sunrise but my great friends Jacky and Virginia were very persuasive and we went to Kowloon Peak and were rewarded with some stunning images.... this is me taking a picture of Virginia's Iphone taking a picture of the view from Kowloon Peak. Awesome!!

There is a plumber in Hong Kong who is famous because he travels around Hong Kong, everywhere it seems (!) hand painting advertising for his plumbing business.... I am not a fan, Hong Kong has always been relatively graffiti free until recently, to me it just plain old vandalism and it time our Government did something about it.

Meet Stephen and Joel my good friends at Smooth Ride Bicycle Tours, they do some pretty awesome bike tours around Hong Kong, these are NOT typical bike tours and they deserve a lot of credit for thinking outside the box on this one.... oh, the bikes are very cool! if you visit Hong Kong you should book a tour with them, I absolutely recommend them.

I like taking pictures of cars and my camera is with me at all times.... luckily for me as I spotted this car in the famous Zung Fu / Mercedes Benz parking garage in Whampoa in Kowloon. This is the first time I have seen this Mercedes Benz G Wagon on steroids..... WOW!

The magnificent view from Victoria Peak Garden a 40+ minute walk uphill from the Peak Tower.... it is NOT a city view but rather a great view of the south side of Hong Kong Island and quite a few of the outlying islands in the background.
It is also the site of the famous summer house for the British Governors in colonial times, it is such a shame the house was demolished in 1949., oh well.

This is Virginia again and as you know we all love Virginia.
Virginia is a real foodie and does some amazing food tours and a very original craft beer tour in Hong Kong.
Virginia is a great friend of mine and when in Hong Kong you should book one of her fabulous food tours, she writes a terrific food blog (the Smoo Diaries) and knows everything there is to know about food in Hong Kong and if you play your cards right she could probably rustle up some large fluffy fishballs for you to eat as well.

What a lovely death stare from this rather well off young lady who had just finished dining in the wonderful Peninsula Hotel... if like me you have always wondered about people who get into fancy cars like this awesome Mercedes Benz S500 well, she looks quite normal to me... (well, perhaps the shoes are a tad iffy!) and she looks perfectly charming.
......oh and that is a very lucky number plate on the Mercedes, worth a bit of money it is.

Back to the weird stuff, I do not really like Mui Wu on Lantau Island but I love the ferry ride there from Central and it is an important transport hub to get to the The Big Buddha and the Tai O Fishing Village...... one of the other things is the place where you leave your bikes... it is right next to the ferry pier and just how on earth do you actually find a bike in this mess!

Well I started with Kowloon Peak so it is only fitting that I end with Kowloon Peak and thanks again to my great friends Jacky and Virginia for arranging this outing and this is a location which gives a simply awesome view of Hong Kong... WOW!
